on setting goals…

One wouldn’t think there is a right way to set goals for yourself, but there is! Goals need to be clear, concise, obtainable, have organized steps, a specific time frame, a way to measure progress and CANNOT under any circumstances include other people! When we place others into our goals we create an uncontrolled variable which influences the outcome.

Here’s how to set SMART goals:

Specific- clearly and concisely answer what do you want to see happen?

Measurable- how will you know when you are making progress?

Attainable- is it something you can realistically achieve? (make sure they aren’t too easy, goals should challenge you)

Relevant- do they align with the direction you want your life to take?

Time sensitive- set a deadline for completion. Goals need parameters.
